This is a revised translation of Al-Rasul al-Mu'allim, an outstanding compilation by the great jurist and Hadith scholar Sheikh Abd al-Fattah Abu Ghuddah. This work testifies to his in-depth research and superior scholarship. A study of the teaching methods of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), the effectiveness of which can be gauged by the tremendous impact he had on his companions.

His methods incorporated analogies, similes, anecdotes, diagrams, interactive dialogue, humor, repetition, continuous evaluation, physical contact, gestures, and customization, amongst others. A fascinating analysis, as the Messenger of Allah (may Allah bless him and grant him peace), was unlettered, and yet could be called the perfect teacher.
